What does "a confidential space" mean?

Me providing a confidential space for you means, that I won't discuss anything that you share with me with anyone outside the room -

with these exceptions:

-I have regular supervision, as required by the BACP Ethical Guidelines, where I discuss my client work. I will do this without sharing  your identity with my supervisor.

-If I would be concerned about the safety of you or someone around you, I would aim to get your permission to get support from a professional thrid party for you, e.g. your GP. There are also legal requiremenst to break confidentiality, e.g. if you would share certain illigal activities.

I will discuss this with you in detail when we talk about our contract of working together.
